Narrative:
Aircraft had pulled to left on nose touchdown. Used nose jack/jack pad to jack nose of aircraft off ground to do investigation of nose gear. Removed jack after down jacking aircraft. Used portable line jack to jack nose gear off ground and changed both nose landing gear tires. Removed portable jack and put all part away. Aircraft jack was returned to storage by lead on duty. Jack pad was left on aircraft and I was to remove and return it to shop storage. I continued working in the aircraft to finish the A-2 check. I did not remember to remove the nose landing gear jack pad on completion of A-2 check. Aircraft had XA40 flight. Flight crew missed jack pad on walkaround.
