Narrative:
While climbing approximately 200 FPM, other balloon was descending. His balloon struck top of my balloon causing 2 spring clips to release. While in lower balloon, cannot see above when climbing. Require balloons below have right-of-way when climbing. Also, switch on variometer be relocated so that it is not as easy to switch from 600 FPM to 1500 FPM.

Title: AN ASCENDING HOT AIR BALLOON CONTACTS A DSNDING BALLOON. MINOR DAMAGE INFLICTED UPON THE ASCENDING BALLOON IN CLASS E AIRSPACE OF ZAB.
Narrative: WHILE CLBING APPROX 200 FPM, OTHER BALLOON WAS DSNDING. HIS BALLOON STRUCK TOP OF MY BALLOON CAUSING 2 SPRING CLIPS TO RELEASE. WHILE IN LOWER BALLOON, CANNOT SEE ABOVE WHEN CLBING. REQUIRE BALLOONS BELOW HAVE RIGHT-OF-WAY WHEN CLBING. ALSO, SWITCH ON VARIOMETER BE RELOCATED SO THAT IT IS NOT AS EASY TO SWITCH FROM 600 FPM TO 1500 FPM.
