Narrative:
Called on CTAF (122.8) prior to departure. Stated intentions to depart north with turn out to west. Heard no reply from any other aircraft. Departed to north and observed C150 on takeoff approximately 50 ft AGL. We passed in front of the cessna about 200 ft vertically and 400 ft horizontally. The cessna was departing runway 7 at iowa city.

Narrative: CALLED ON CTAF (122.8) PRIOR TO DEP. STATED INTENTIONS TO DEPART N WITH TURN OUT TO W. HEARD NO REPLY FROM ANY OTHER ACFT. DEPARTED TO N AND OBSERVED C150 ON TKOF APPROX 50 FT AGL. WE PASSED IN FRONT OF THE CESSNA ABOUT 200 FT VERTLY AND 400 FT HORIZLY. THE CESSNA WAS DEPARTING RWY 7 AT IOWA CITY.
