Narrative:
On oct/sun/04 I worked on flight crew maintenance report for air carrier X. A coffee maker was on order, aircraft on ground [high priority part]. I picked up coffee maker from stores and installed it. When I turned in old coffee maker, stores informed me they were not exchangeable. Supervisor called to have it changed.

Narrative: ON OCT/SUN/04 I WORKED ON FLT CREW MAINT RPT FOR ACR X. A COFFEE MAKER WAS ON ORDER, ACFT ON GND [HIGH PRIORITY PART]. I PICKED UP COFFEE MAKER FROM STORES AND INSTALLED IT. WHEN I TURNED IN OLD COFFEE MAKER, STORES INFORMED ME THEY WERE NOT EXCHANGEABLE. SUPVR CALLED TO HAVE IT CHANGED.
