Narrative:
On jan/xa/04, I overhauled front landing gear dampers, with the proper tool and in accordance with schweizer basic hmi [strut overhaul manual] for C-1 helicopters. On sep/fri/04, the CFI with student made a hard landing at ZZZ airport and reported that the aircraft started to vibrate and collapsed on its left side, CFI claimed it was ground resonance. On oct/mon/04 schweizer aircraft inspected front landing gear struts, claiming that the struts were over svced with the military 5606. On oct/mon/04, contacted by FSDO ZZZ1 about schweizer aircraft's company findings. On 2 other 300 helicopters we had overhauled, the landing gear struts have been disassembled (dampers) and checked for proper charge and correct fluid level. On the dampers (before) inspection no defects found. This incident is still under investigation. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter said the front landing gear dampers were overhauled per the manufacturer's overhaul manual 9 months prior to the hard landing.

CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR SAID THE FRONT LNDG GEAR DAMPERS WERE OVERHAULED PER THE MANUFACTURER'S OVERHAUL MANUAL 9 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE HARD LNDG.
