Narrative:
Problem: confusion for procedure when radio transmit fails after exiting active runway when landing traffic behind seems to be rushing decision. Sequence: exited active runway 35R at A11, switched to ground, attempted to contact without success. Landing traffic on short final. I moved across taxiway a onto an empty apron area to await light gun signals after multiple failed radio attempts. Ground ordered me to proceed along taxiway a as quickly as possible. The landing traffic was now waiting for ground at another intersection farther down. He looked surprised to see me. Ground ordered me to exit next intersection. I did and had to avoid a jet waiting permission to enter taxiway a. Asked to call tower after parking. Ground controller and I spoke on phone and cleared up confusion. Suggestion: increase questions/study for lost communications procedures in private pilot curriculum. Allow for pilots to move when safe on txwys if they believe safety is compromised by not moving.

Title: A C150 XMITTER FAILED AFTER LNDG CONFUSING THE PLT ABOUT TAXIING.
Narrative: PROB: CONFUSION FOR PROC WHEN RADIO XMIT FAILS AFTER EXITING ACTIVE RWY WHEN LNDG TFC BEHIND SEEMS TO BE RUSHING DECISION. SEQUENCE: EXITED ACTIVE RWY 35R AT A11, SWITCHED TO GND, ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT WITHOUT SUCCESS. LNDG TFC ON SHORT FINAL. I MOVED ACROSS TXWY A ONTO AN EMPTY APRON AREA TO AWAIT LIGHT GUN SIGNALS AFTER MULTIPLE FAILED RADIO ATTEMPTS. GND ORDERED ME TO PROCEED ALONG TXWY A AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. THE LNDG TFC WAS NOW WAITING FOR GND AT ANOTHER INTXN FARTHER DOWN. HE LOOKED SURPRISED TO SEE ME. GND ORDERED ME TO EXIT NEXT INTXN. I DID AND HAD TO AVOID A JET WAITING PERMISSION TO ENTER TXWY A. ASKED TO CALL TWR AFTER PARKING. GND CTLR AND I SPOKE ON PHONE AND CLRED UP CONFUSION. SUGGESTION: INCREASE QUESTIONS/STUDY FOR LOST COMS PROCS IN PVT PLT CURRICULUM. ALLOW FOR PLTS TO MOVE WHEN SAFE ON TXWYS IF THEY BELIEVE SAFETY IS COMPROMISED BY NOT MOVING.
