Narrative:
Installed rudder wrap around panels, under the assumption that the panels were modified. This was after observing all steps on the engineering authority/authorized were accomplished prior to my signed steps. Note: wasn't aware that new panels were part of the engineering authority/authorized kit. (Reinstalled unmodified panel creating a interference with rudder control rod and rudder.)

Title: A B737 HAD A MODIFIED RUDDER PWR UNIT INSTALLED. THE MODIFIED UNIT REQUIRED NEW TYPE RUDDER LEADING EDGE PANELS. REMOVED PANELS REINSTALLED CAUSING INTERFERENCE WITH RUDDER CTL ROD AND RUDDER.
Narrative: INSTALLED RUDDER WRAP AROUND PANELS, UNDER THE ASSUMPTION THAT THE PANELS WERE MODIFIED. THIS WAS AFTER OBSERVING ALL STEPS ON THE ENGINEERING AUTH WERE ACCOMPLISHED PRIOR TO MY SIGNED STEPS. NOTE: WASN'T AWARE THAT NEW PANELS WERE PART OF THE ENGINEERING AUTH KIT.
