Opening broadway sector, frequency stayed in the on position on both main, standby and buec eventually a new frequency was added to the position, but not before coordinating with another sector to assume my airspace.

Title: ZNY CTLR EXPRESSED CONCERN REGARDING A FREQ OUTAGE AT HIS SECTOR REQUIRING ANOTHER SECTOR TO ASSUME AFFECTED AIRSPACE.
Narrative: OPENING BROADWAY SECTOR, FREQ STAYED IN THE ON POS ON BOTH MAIN, STANDBY AND BUEC EVENTUALLY A NEW FREQ WAS ADDED TO THE POS, BUT NOT BEFORE COORDINATING WITH ANOTHER SECTOR TO ASSUME MY AIRSPACE.
