Narrative:
We landed on runway 4L at bos and taxied off on N1. The tower told us to contact ground. The ground controller was very busy so we taxied slowly from runway 4L to N1 onto taxiway north, sbound. As we approached runway 33R/15L, I told the captain we needed to hold short of runway 33R. He continued to taxi. I said again to stop the aircraft until we had a chance to talk with ground control. The captain said that the runway was not active, therefore, it was ok to cross without clearance. I strongly disagreed and said for the third time to hold short. The captain did not, and we crossed runway 33R/15L. I chose not to use the brakes myself due to the fact I could hear what I thought may have been a flight attendant moving in the forward galley and did not want to cause unnecessary injury with stopping the aircraft fast. Once we crossed runway 33R/15L, I was able to contact ground control. The controller said nothing about the runway incursion and said to taxi south on taxiway north to taxiway a to the gate. Although the ground controller said nothing about crossing runway 33R/15L, I was very uncomfortable about the whole situation. The captain said his interpretation of it was that if the runway was not active it is ok to cross without clearance. I do not believe this is the case. Furthermore, his lack of CRM in this situation was unacceptable. He did what he wanted to do. 2-WAY communication is the only way safety can be accomplished in the air and on the ground.

Title: A B717-200 CAPT CROSSED BOS RWY 33R WITHOUT CLRNC DISREGARDING THE FO'S OBJECTIONS.
Narrative: WE LANDED ON RWY 4L AT BOS AND TAXIED OFF ON N1. THE TWR TOLD US TO CONTACT GND. THE GND CTLR WAS VERY BUSY SO WE TAXIED SLOWLY FROM RWY 4L TO N1 ONTO TXWY N, SBOUND. AS WE APCHED RWY 33R/15L, I TOLD THE CAPT WE NEEDED TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 33R. HE CONTINUED TO TAXI. I SAID AGAIN TO STOP THE ACFT UNTIL WE HAD A CHANCE TO TALK WITH GND CTL. THE CAPT SAID THAT THE RWY WAS NOT ACTIVE, THEREFORE, IT WAS OK TO CROSS WITHOUT CLRNC. I STRONGLY DISAGREED AND SAID FOR THE THIRD TIME TO HOLD SHORT. THE CAPT DID NOT, AND WE CROSSED RWY 33R/15L. I CHOSE NOT TO USE THE BRAKES MYSELF DUE TO THE FACT I COULD HEAR WHAT I THOUGHT MAY HAVE BEEN A FLT ATTENDANT MOVING IN THE FORWARD GALLEY AND DID NOT WANT TO CAUSE UNNECESSARY INJURY WITH STOPPING THE ACFT FAST. ONCE WE CROSSED RWY 33R/15L, I WAS ABLE TO CONTACT GND CTL. THE CTLR SAID NOTHING ABOUT THE RWY INCURSION AND SAID TO TAXI S ON TXWY N TO TXWY A TO THE GATE. ALTHOUGH THE GND CTLR SAID NOTHING ABOUT XING RWY 33R/15L, I WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE ABOUT THE WHOLE SIT. THE CAPT SAID HIS INTERP OF IT WAS THAT IF THE RWY WAS NOT ACTIVE IT IS OK TO CROSS WITHOUT CLRNC. I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS IS THE CASE. FURTHERMORE, HIS LACK OF CRM IN THIS SIT WAS UNACCEPTABLE. HE DID WHAT HE WANTED TO DO. 2-WAY COM IS THE ONLY WAY SAFETY CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED IN THE AIR AND ON THE GND.
