The information item on the flight crew maintenance report calls it actuator, and the mechanic signed if off as replaced actuator, but in actuality is an electric motor and it is not a primary actuator and not requiring rii in accordance with gpm 18-01, the primary stabilizer trim actuator.

Title: A B737-800 STABILIZER TRIM AUTOPLT SERVO WAS REPLACED AND DISPATCHED WITH THE REQUIRED FAA INSPECTION NOT ACCOMPLISHED.
Narrative: THE INFO ITEM ON THE FLT CREW MAINT RPT CALLS IT ACTUATOR, AND THE MECH SIGNED IF OFF AS REPLACED ACTUATOR, BUT IN ACTUALITY IS AN ELECTRIC MOTOR AND IT IS NOT A PRIMARY ACTUATOR AND NOT REQUIRING RII IN ACCORDANCE WITH GPM 18-01, THE PRIMARY STABILIZER TRIM ACTUATOR.
