Narrative:
In cruise FL330 south of abc VOR. Low oil pressure light #1 engine illuminated, oil pressure went to red band, zero pressure, oil quantity decreased. Performed QRH, 'low oil pressure' which led to QRH 'in-flight engine shutdown' checklist, which was also performed. Informed ATC, declared an emergency, informed dispatch via ACARS, informed flight attendants and passenger. Decided to divert. All checklists were completed and landed on runway 19R in ZZZ1. Emergency crew inspected aircraft, then proceeded to the terminal area. All crew members performed with the most professionalism as possible. Passenger were calm and respectful and gracious. Engine was at zero oil pressure for approximately 2-3 mins. Engine was shut down at FL280 during descent and the landing was accomplished within 20 mins of shutdown.
