Narrative:
Slide arrived in slide shop with firing cable still connected. This is a safety concern to the mechanic removing the slide; the mechanic in the slide shop; and all shipping personnel in between. Received from ZZZ from mr X. Action taken: ensure that safety pin is inserted in bottle; and carefully disconnected firing cable. Contributing factors: either the mechanic is not using the proper procedures or needs some additional training.
