Narrative:
On feb/sun/05; I was assigned to work aircraft X door 1L -- difficult to close. I replaced door snubber and lower hinge seal and adjusted door stops. Pressurized aircraft to 6.0 dpsi with no air leaks noted. When I came in to work the next day; I was told of the aircraft return to field for air leak at door 1L. It was noted that the snubber was installed with service port installed in wrong direction; causing lower gate seal to stick open. The maintenance manual is very clear on this; but I misinterped it.
