Narrative:
I have noticed a number of A320's that I've been commuting/jumpseating on that have the forward lavatory doorknob installed backwards. The smooth; bar-type doorknob that is 'supposed' to be on the outside; has been installed on the inside; leaving the big knob sticking out into the egress-way between the cockpit and cabin. It's on more than one airplane; so somebody in maintenance must have the idea backwards (or 99% of our airbus' have the wrong installation). It really does matter; due to the potential for the doorknob hooking someone or something on an egress. I'll write them up on the flts where I'm the captain; but just thought somebody out there in 'maintenance land' should know about it.
