Narrative:
Door slides shipped with firing cable connected. Improper packing for shipment to slide shop. The manual inflation handle must be disconnected prior to shipping and was not. On aircraft X on feb/mon/05 and also aircraft Y on feb/mon/05. I understand the order of events for removing and shipping slides as per the maintenance manual 25-62-002. The manual calls for the manual inflation handle to be disconnected when the slide is removed from aircraft, but the prepare for shipping only says to install lock pin.
