Narrative:
After taking off on runway 27 at jzi and departing the pattern to the north; I switched from CTAF and picked up my IFR clearance from chs ATC. Climbing out of 2000 ft to 5000 ft; chs gave me a transponder code after radio contact was established. Still climbing; I leveled down to enter my assigned transponder code; when I heard 'down; down; down' over the chs ATC frequency from another pilot. Chs ATC had cleared a bizjet to land at jzi and the jet was descending for a right downwind on runway 27 at jzi. As I looked up; I saw the jet approximately 500 ft below me as it passed under my nose to the right. I did not see it until it exited to my right. Then chs ATC told the jet to switch to CTAF. The problem was the time between switching frequencys and establishing radio/radar contact while in a nose high climbing attitude. The jet was in my blind spot entering an uncontrolled airport with traffic in the pattern without having established radio contact/advisories.

Title: BE55 DEP FROM JZI EXPERIENCED CONFLICT WITH JET ARR TO JZI DURING IDENT PROCESS WITH CHS TRACON TO INITIATE IFR FLT PLAN.
Narrative: AFTER TAKING OFF ON RWY 27 AT JZI AND DEPARTING THE PATTERN TO THE N; I SWITCHED FROM CTAF AND PICKED UP MY IFR CLRNC FROM CHS ATC. CLBING OUT OF 2000 FT TO 5000 FT; CHS GAVE ME A XPONDER CODE AFTER RADIO CONTACT WAS ESTABLISHED. STILL CLBING; I LEVELED DOWN TO ENTER MY ASSIGNED XPONDER CODE; WHEN I HEARD 'DOWN; DOWN; DOWN' OVER THE CHS ATC FREQ FROM ANOTHER PLT. CHS ATC HAD CLRED A BIZJET TO LAND AT JZI AND THE JET WAS DSNDING FOR A R DOWNWIND ON RWY 27 AT JZI. AS I LOOKED UP; I SAW THE JET APPROX 500 FT BELOW ME AS IT PASSED UNDER MY NOSE TO THE R. I DID NOT SEE IT UNTIL IT EXITED TO MY R. THEN CHS ATC TOLD THE JET TO SWITCH TO CTAF. THE PROB WAS THE TIME BTWN SWITCHING FREQS AND ESTABLISHING RADIO/RADAR CONTACT WHILE IN A NOSE HIGH CLBING ATTITUDE. THE JET WAS IN MY BLIND SPOT ENTERING AN UNCTLED ARPT WITH TFC IN THE PATTERN WITHOUT HAVING ESTABLISHED RADIO CONTACT/ADVISORIES.
