Narrative:

Flight fueled and departed normally. After stabilizing in cruise flight; FMS indicated landing with less than bingo fuel. Set maximum range cruise; notified ATC. When closer to dfw; ZFW asked us to 'verify minimum fuel.' our requests for shortcuts and the cruise setting had brought us up to bingo fuel (reserve plus alternate) and I confirmed minimum fuel. I have noticed that many dispatchers supply us with adequate fuel for flts with no room for vectors; being held down or other problems. The higher passenger weights has brought in a problem of trying to maximize passenger against a conservative fuel plan.
