Narrative:

We were cleared for the ILS runway 33L to bos. I slowed the aircraft to configure. When the slat handle was elected to 15/0; the slats failed to extend. ECAM message 'slat fault system 1 and 2' was annunciated. We held on the localizer while accomplishing the checklist. We were unable to extend the slats. I declared an emergency; accomplished a 0/40 flap uneventful landing.

Narrative: WE WERE CLRED FOR THE ILS RWY 33L TO BOS. I SLOWED THE ACFT TO CONFIGURE. WHEN THE SLAT HANDLE WAS ELECTED TO 15/0; THE SLATS FAILED TO EXTEND. ECAM MESSAGE 'SLAT FAULT SYS 1 AND 2' WAS ANNUNCIATED. WE HELD ON THE LOC WHILE ACCOMPLISHING THE CHKLIST. WE WERE UNABLE TO EXTEND THE SLATS. I DECLARED AN EMER; ACCOMPLISHED A 0/40 FLAP UNEVENTFUL LNDG.
