Company X has been alerted by an original equipment manufacturer to a suspected sub-standard repair carried out by a united states repair station. The repair in question was carried out on a unit purchased by company X via a united states broker. Company and the original equipment manufacturer are of the opinion that the standard of repair observed merits further investigation. It is for that reason we are reporting it to both the united kingdom caa, and the united states FAA.

Title: A BRITISH ACFT REPAIR FACILITY RPTS BEING ADVISED BY AN ORIGINAL EQUIP MANUFACTURER THAT A SUBSTANDARD REPAIR WAS PERFORMED ON A PURCHASED PART BY A UNITED STATES REPAIR STATION.
Narrative: COMPANY X HAS BEEN ALERTED BY AN ORIGINAL EQUIP MANUFACTURER TO A SUSPECTED SUB-STANDARD REPAIR CARRIED OUT BY A UNITED STATES REPAIR STATION. THE REPAIR IN QUESTION WAS CARRIED OUT ON A UNIT PURCHASED BY COMPANY X VIA A UNITED STATES BROKER. COMPANY AND THE ORIGINAL EQUIP MANUFACTURER ARE OF THE OPINION THAT THE STANDARD OF REPAIR OBSERVED MERITS FURTHER INVESTIGATION.
