Narrative:
Flight crew maintenance report paperwork asked for inspection of a prior repair. I did not think repair was done correctly. Tried to obtain parts listed in ipc. Parts unavailable. Company maintenance manual for possible repair and found repair document 51-20-00-1(1A) for acceptable repair. Replaced and installed new hardware as required. Performed functional check and inspection of aircraft. Signed and dated apr/thu/05 to deferral only services concerning repair. Used repair document 51-20-00-1(1A) for acceptable repair method. Parts not available in maintenance control.
