Narrative:
I climbed MD80 to 17000 ft. C650 was restr to 250 KTS behind MD80. I climbed C650 to 17000 ft; not expecting slow aircraft to catch fast aircraft. When I noticed event; I stopped C650 climb and turned MD80.
