Narrative:

I was the crew chief over aircraft. I performed a maintenance item sheet review, in which the maintenance item sheet revealed an open time deferred maintenance item to re-inspect the center wing to fuselage fairing for speed tape every 100 flight cycles not exceeding 1000 flight cycles before repaired. This time deferred maintenance item was accidentally closed out in the aircraft maintenance history which caused the time deferred maintenance item not to be inspected for 425+ flight cycles and to be flown 139 flight cycles over its final repair.
