Narrative:
Nosewheel shimmy. Performed inspection on nosewheel tire assembly. Found the tires needed to be changed. My fellow mechanic removed and installed #1 nose tire assembly; and I removed and installed #2 nose tire assembly. But; mistakenly; I installed #2 tire incorrectly backwards. The coordinator called me back to go to the aircraft to check my work. At that time I found that I did install the tire incorrectly. Immediately I took action -- I removed and reinstalled correctly in accordance with aircraft maintenance manual and I asked my fellow to doublechk my work and he did so.
