Narrative:
On final at ZZZ; we broke out at better than 1000 ft AGL; even though the WX was reported 800 ft broken. We were flight planned to go to ZZZ2; a private field about 8 mi to the east. We continued down toward minimums and canceled IFR; since we could see better than 5 mi; and since we had broken out above 1000 ft AGL; we continued VFR to ZZZ2. On the way there; we encountered lowering ceilings and wound up over ZZZ2 at about 500 ft AGL! Landed! We learned that the WX is not always the same -- even a few mi away! No WX reporting at the private field! We will be more careful in the future.

Narrative: ON FINAL AT ZZZ; WE BROKE OUT AT BETTER THAN 1000 FT AGL; EVEN THOUGH THE WX WAS RPTED 800 FT BROKEN. WE WERE FLT PLANNED TO GO TO ZZZ2; A PVT FIELD ABOUT 8 MI TO THE E. WE CONTINUED DOWN TOWARD MINIMUMS AND CANCELED IFR; SINCE WE COULD SEE BETTER THAN 5 MI; AND SINCE WE HAD BROKEN OUT ABOVE 1000 FT AGL; WE CONTINUED VFR TO ZZZ2. ON THE WAY THERE; WE ENCOUNTERED LOWERING CEILINGS AND WOUND UP OVER ZZZ2 AT ABOUT 500 FT AGL! LANDED! WE LEARNED THAT THE WX IS NOT ALWAYS THE SAME -- EVEN A FEW MI AWAY! NO WX RPTING AT THE PVT FIELD! WE WILL BE MORE CAREFUL IN THE FUTURE.
