Narrative:
I had been working R34 which was combined with R33/16/17/85. The supervisor instructed that R16/17/85/86 be split off. I gave a briefing to mr X who assumed R34/33; and slid across to sector 16 to continue working the other sectors. In the transition; I inadvertently did not xfer the track on air carrier X at FL380 to R16. Subsequently; I climbed air carrier Y to FL380. Prior to loss of separation; I amended air carrier Y clearance to FL370; but clearance was not received in a timely manner due to air carrier Y taking the clearance in error. After air carrier Y finally read back the clearance; I turned air carrier X 30 degrees right for an added measure of safety. Contributing factors were high volume and complexity of traffic; and inadequate level of ATC staffing which prevented the sectors from being decombined sooner.

Title: ZJX CTLR EXPERIENCED OPERROR AT FL380 DURING SECTOR DECOMBINING PROCS WHEN DATA INFO WAS NOT XFERRED TO THE APPROPRIATE DISPLAY.
Narrative: I HAD BEEN WORKING R34 WHICH WAS COMBINED WITH R33/16/17/85. THE SUPVR INSTRUCTED THAT R16/17/85/86 BE SPLIT OFF. I GAVE A BRIEFING TO MR X WHO ASSUMED R34/33; AND SLID ACROSS TO SECTOR 16 TO CONTINUE WORKING THE OTHER SECTORS. IN THE TRANSITION; I INADVERTENTLY DID NOT XFER THE TRACK ON ACR X AT FL380 TO R16. SUBSEQUENTLY; I CLBED ACR Y TO FL380. PRIOR TO LOSS OF SEPARATION; I AMENDED ACR Y CLRNC TO FL370; BUT CLRNC WAS NOT RECEIVED IN A TIMELY MANNER DUE TO ACR Y TAKING THE CLRNC IN ERROR. AFTER ACR Y FINALLY READ BACK THE CLRNC; I TURNED ACR X 30 DEGS R FOR AN ADDED MEASURE OF SAFETY. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS WERE HIGH VOLUME AND COMPLEXITY OF TFC; AND INADEQUATE LEVEL OF ATC STAFFING WHICH PREVENTED THE SECTORS FROM BEING DECOMBINED SOONER.
