Narrative:
Departing ZZZ today in VMC; we had a compressor stall on right engine in second or third phase of flight. We ran the engine failure/in-flight shutdown checklist and returned to the field. We declared an emergency and completed all checklists as per aom. Maintenance was briefed and the aircraft was deplaned.
