#4 tie bolt broken. Investigation of actual bolt showed a darkened area on the remaining half of the bolt left in the wheel; indicating that bolt was partially cracked at installation.

Title: A DC10-30 FOUND #4 MAIN TIE BOLT BROKEN. INVESTIGATION OF ACTUAL BROKEN BOLT SHOWED A DARKENED AREA ON THE REMAINS OF ONE HALF OF THE BOLT IN THE WHEEL; INDICATING BOLT WAS PARTIALLY CRACKED WHEN INSTALLED. REPLACED #4 MAIN WHEEL TIRE AND ASSEMBLY.
