Narrative:
During pushback from gate; the tug driver and I noticed an aircraft taxiing very rapidly from the interisland portion of the ramp that was not going to stop. In fact; it looked like he was increasing his taxi speed. The tug driver and myself communicated that we saw him and stopped halfway through our pushback operation. The other aircraft continued at his very fast pace and the tug driver asked; 'did you see that?' the tug driver then told me that the aircraft taxied under the wing of our aircraft. I could not see this as he was behind us at this point but from our position it was very close. Two local air taxi company aircraft taxi very fast in the interisland ramp area and with all the new untrained ramp personnel out on the ramp; I can see someone getting hurt if they are not careful.
