Narrative:
We were second departure after curfew ended. First aircraft reported a 20 KT tailwind. Just after takeoff; out of sna; we do the absurd noise abatement departure where the nose is pulled up to 22 1/2 - 26 degrees. As I pulled nose up; airspeed began to decay. Brought nose back down until airspeed stabilized and then increased. Was late by 0.2 mi making noise abatement turn. Had first officer report 10 KT loss at 600 ft AGL. Unfortunately; he did not precede it by PIREP as we are trained to do.

Narrative: WE WERE SECOND DEP AFTER CURFEW ENDED. FIRST ACFT RPTED A 20 KT TAILWIND. JUST AFTER TKOF; OUT OF SNA; WE DO THE ABSURD NOISE ABATEMENT DEP WHERE THE NOSE IS PULLED UP TO 22 1/2 - 26 DEGS. AS I PULLED NOSE UP; AIRSPD BEGAN TO DECAY. BROUGHT NOSE BACK DOWN UNTIL AIRSPD STABILIZED AND THEN INCREASED. WAS LATE BY 0.2 MI MAKING NOISE ABATEMENT TURN. HAD FO RPT 10 KT LOSS AT 600 FT AGL. UNFORTUNATELY; HE DID NOT PRECEDE IT BY PIREP AS WE ARE TRAINED TO DO.
