Narrative:
Nonstandard panel found on right engine pylon. Item entered as 'information to maintenance.' item may be structural on pylon. Mechanic concerned that panel not machined correctly but may have been on aircraft since delivery or 'C' check. Status unknown. Only aircraft XXX and YYY to my knowledge have nonstandard panel absent connecting point -- not machines for the connecting point. Technician did not intercept flight for further action; aircraft flown to daily destinations. Terminated ZZZ. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the panel appeared to be nonstandard and appeared to be machined incorrectly. When asked by the analyst if the panel were a doubler repair; the reporter said no; that it was a flush panel with fasteners.
