Narrative:
En route from to cvg; ATC forgot about us. Approaching sargo intersection; we called ATC and they replied we were NORDO. This is a lie! We were listening always. They never called us. They forgot about us; then blamed us for their failure. They then refused to let us continue as filed to cvg. We left with only minimum fuel +500 pounds contingency. Because we were turned away from cvg by ATC; we burned all of our contingency fuel and also into our reserve fuel; landing with only 2500 pounds in cvg. This was 90% ATC fault and 10% company fault for inadequate contingency fuel. ATC was informed of low fuel yet they still did not allow us to proceed to cvg. Supplemental information from acn 674417: we considered diverting to sdf. We talked to dispatch and agreed to declare minimum fuel with cvg. We continued to get radar vectors to cvg and landed without incident. Landing fuel was 2500 pounds.
