Narrative:
On climb out; cleared top of cloud at 13000 ft. Reached up and turned off 'B' hydraulic pumps instead of engine anti-ice. Didn't realize it until after contacting maintenance and dispatch and getting clearance to return to mdw. Sun angle was a factor since it was reflecting off the cloud top and onto the overhead panel but after turning south; noticed the anti-ice switches on; and the 'B' hydraulic lights on; and switches off. Complacency was a larger factor because I didn't look at the blue lights for them to turn bright and then off after selection of switches. ATC then got our original clearance and we proceeded uneventfully. A big lesson learned and am reporting it so somebody else doesn't have to go through the same thing that I did.
