I applied MEL to aircraft cabin temperature indicator for a pilot report of duct temperature indicator. Suggest note in MEL manual page that even though indication is shared; duct temperature indicator side is not deferrable.

Title: SAAB340 WAS DISPATCHED WITH THE PNEUMATIC DUCT TEMP INDICATOR INOP. LATER REVIEW OF MEL REVEALS THIS ITEM CANNOT BE DEFERRED.
Narrative: I APPLIED MEL TO ACFT CABIN TEMP INDICATOR FOR A PLT RPT OF DUCT TEMP INDICATOR. SUGGEST NOTE IN MEL MANUAL PAGE THAT EVEN THOUGH INDICATION IS SHARED; DUCT TEMP INDICATOR SIDE IS NOT DEFERRABLE.
