Narrative:
On touchdown at ZZZ international airport runway 12; landing gear warning light and aural sounded for approximately 5 seconds then silenced. An EICAS message only remained annunciating: gear doors. After taxi in to gate; maintenance found the left main gear door down and the forward drag link attaching shaft pulled about 1 ft out of securing collar on forward under wing area. The securing nut was found loose in the same area. They also found about a 1 inch piece of a securing bolt that holds the securing nut from backing off. The gear was pinned and the aircraft removed from service.
