Narrative:
My leg; on touchdown attempted to apply small right rudder input to correct centerline control and got no response. Continued to experience binding in right rudder until excessive pressure to free control. Minor overshoot when rudder broke free. Immediately came out of reverse thrust and used brakes and nosewheel steering to control plane. Aircraft remained on runway throughout landing. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated on follow-up with maintenance; the rudder binding report was cleared by ground checks ok unable to duplicate report. At the gate; the reporter checked the floor for interference with the rudder pedals and found none and the rudder operated normally. Callback conversation with reporter acn 676866 revealed the following information: the reporter stated the first officer was experiencing rudder binding and then the rudder broke free and all was normal. The reporter has no idea of the maintenance action taken.

Title: AN A320 FO RPTS ON TOUCHDOWN APPLIED SMALL RUDDER CORRECTION AND GOT NO RESPONSE. HAD RUDDER BINDING UNTIL EXCESSIVE PRESSURE FREED RUDDER.
Narrative: MY LEG; ON TOUCHDOWN ATTEMPTED TO APPLY SMALL R RUDDER INPUT TO CORRECT CTRLINE CTL AND GOT NO RESPONSE. CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE BINDING IN R RUDDER UNTIL EXCESSIVE PRESSURE TO FREE CTL. MINOR OVERSHOOT WHEN RUDDER BROKE FREE. IMMEDIATELY CAME OUT OF REVERSE THRUST AND USED BRAKES AND NOSEWHEEL STEERING TO CTL PLANE. ACFT REMAINED ON RWY THROUGHOUT LNDG. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED ON FOLLOW-UP WITH MAINT; THE RUDDER BINDING RPT WAS CLRED BY GND CHKS OK UNABLE TO DUPLICATE RPT. AT THE GATE; THE RPTR CHKED THE FLOOR FOR INTERFERENCE WITH THE RUDDER PEDALS AND FOUND NONE AND THE RUDDER OPERATED NORMALLY.
