Narrative:

Aircraft diverted into ZZZ; #2 engine oil temperature high. I found #2 engine temperature bulb to be at fault; which I stated in my action taken. What I failed to say was that I removed and replaced #2 engine temperature bulb per maintenance manual. I've since corrected paperwork with write-up and forwarded it to maintenance records. What caused this was just a mistake on my part possibly fatigue related; in a rush to get the aircraft back in service and avoid further delay.

Title: A B737-300 DIVERTED INTO STATION WITH RPT OF #2 ENG HIGH OIL TEMP. RPTR REPLACED #2 ENG OIL TEMP BULB. FAILED TO RECORD ACTION TAKEN IN LOGBOOK SIGNOFF.
