Narrative:
Leaving teb; using the teb 5 departure; we climbed to 1500 ft then started our turn to 280 degrees. The controller contacted us and asked for our altitude. I said we were at 1500 ft then asked for an altimeter setting. I recall that we were a couple of points off; can't remember which way. The WX was very gusty and windy. I do not know if the controller had us busting an altitude or not; he never said. It sounded as if he felt we had exceeded the altitude standards. But our altimeter read 1500 ft.
