Narrative:
I was sent out to aircraft nxxx for the first officer's seat not locking in the forward position. I found both the first officer's and captain's forward seat stops installed backwards and upside down. I proceeded to correct the discrepancies and have the seats rii'ed again. A brief review of the logbook provided no information about when or where the seats were installed last.
