Narrative:
I worked at station on aircraft tail number talked to captain applied MEL. I thought I was deferring the 'bleed fault' indication system. Pilot called in; said wrong MEL was on aircraft. Aircraft was ran and MEL cleared. I should have done more research more into problem before applying MEL.

Title: A SAAB 340 PNEUMATIC BLEED FAULT INDICATION WAS DEFERRED PER THE MEL. CAPT RPTED INCORRECT MEL REF FOR DEFERRAL.
Narrative: I WORKED AT STATION ON ACFT TAIL NUMBER TALKED TO CAPT APPLIED MEL. I THOUGHT I WAS DEFERRING THE 'BLEED FAULT' INDICATION SYS. PLT CALLED IN; SAID WRONG MEL WAS ON ACFT. ACFT WAS RAN AND MEL CLRED. I SHOULD HAVE DONE MORE RESEARCH MORE INTO PROB BEFORE APPLYING MEL.
