Narrative:
While doing my preflight at door 1R; I noticed the door assist strap located on the left side of the door. According to our flight attendant operating manual; the strap should be on the right side where the manual inflation handle is located. Reported it to maintenance where there seems to be a discrepancy between our manual and maintenance doors 2; 3; 4R (also wrong). The problem was not rectified and they sent us on our way. I had the pilots log the problem for ZZZ1. I notified the outbound crew (flight attendant and pilot) of the write-up. I found out later the flight to ZZZ2 took a 2 hour delay to fix a door problem. What we have is a lack of consistency between mechanics; flight attendant and pilot manuals. This is the 6TH B777 in the last 24 months I have reported with the assist strap on the wrong side.

Title: B777 CABIN ATTENDANT RPTS DOOR ASSIST STRAPS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY. STRAPS FOUND ON L SIDE OF DOOR; PER FLT ATTENDANTS MANUAL MUST BE ON R.
Narrative: WHILE DOING MY PREFLT AT DOOR 1R; I NOTICED THE DOOR ASSIST STRAP LOCATED ON THE L SIDE OF THE DOOR. ACCORDING TO OUR FLT ATTENDANT OPERATING MANUAL; THE STRAP SHOULD BE ON THE R SIDE WHERE THE MANUAL INFLATION HANDLE IS LOCATED. RPTED IT TO MAINT WHERE THERE SEEMS TO BE A DISCREPANCY BTWN OUR MANUAL AND MAINT DOORS 2; 3; 4R (ALSO WRONG). THE PROB WAS NOT RECTIFIED AND THEY SENT US ON OUR WAY. I HAD THE PLTS LOG THE PROB FOR ZZZ1. I NOTIFIED THE OUTBOUND CREW (FLT ATTENDANT AND PLT) OF THE WRITE-UP. I FOUND OUT LATER THE FLT TO ZZZ2 TOOK A 2 HR DELAY TO FIX A DOOR PROB. WHAT WE HAVE IS A LACK OF CONSISTENCY BTWN MECHS; FLT ATTENDANT AND PLT MANUALS. THIS IS THE 6TH B777 IN THE LAST 24 MONTHS I HAVE RPTED WITH THE ASSIST STRAP ON THE WRONG SIDE.
