Narrative:
Fuselage damage was discovered. Research was done in the published repair documents. One was found that fit our dent dimensions; but we missed the statement of only 1 dent. We placed the damage on deferred maintenance and the aircraft was flown.

Title: DH8 WAS RELEASED FOR SVC WITH SEVERAL FUSELAGE DENTS DEFERRED. REPAIR DOCUMENT USED AS REF ALLOWED ONLY 1 DENT.
Narrative: FUSELAGE DAMAGE WAS DISCOVERED. RESEARCH WAS DONE IN THE PUBLISHED REPAIR DOCUMENTS. ONE WAS FOUND THAT FIT OUR DENT DIMENSIONS; BUT WE MISSED THE STATEMENT OF ONLY 1 DENT. WE PLACED THE DAMAGE ON DEFERRED MAINT AND THE ACFT WAS FLOWN.
