Narrative:
When pulling into the FBO; APU failed to start; hanging at 35%. After aborting and waiting 1 min; we attempted a restart after parking. It hung again. After aborting the start via the master knob (fuel off) the APU fail message was received. At this point the APU was manually selected off anyway and had been for several seconds. After a few more seconds APU fire was presented; along with master warning and bell. After following QRH and considering the safety of the already deplaning passenger; I blew the bottle in what might not have been the full 30 seconds (per the QRH). We considered an emergency evacuate/evacuation but with less than 30 passenger on-board and them already deplaning in an orderly fashion; we opted to not disrupt that orderly flow. The fire was out immediately (after bottle discharged) and by the time the procedure was complete the chartered basketball team was already on their bus.
