Narrative:
Upon initial contact with approach control; we were advised that simultaneous approachs were being made on runway 27L and runway 27R. We switched to tower. Tower cleared us to land runway 27R. We landed uneventfully. On our normal rollout and nearing high speed taxiway C; tower asked if we were going to turn off 'charlie.' first officer increased braking with the attempt to slow the aircraft enough to turn off 'charlie' but was unable. We slowed to nearly a stop at/hear the intersection of runway 22R and because of our location; tower called another aircraft to 'go around.' concerned that we had missed some new lahso instruction or that an airplane behind us was trying to land runway 27R; we quickly turned off runway 27R as more of an escape maneuver; thinking that we had done something terribly wrong. Unfortunately; we turned left onto runway 22R which was also an active runway. We were immediately advised by tower that we had taxied onto an active runway.

Title: MD80 FLT CREW HAS A RWY INCURSION DURING LNDG ROLL ON AN INTERSECTING RWY AT ORD.
Narrative: UPON INITIAL CONTACT WITH APCH CTL; WE WERE ADVISED THAT SIMULTANEOUS APCHS WERE BEING MADE ON RWY 27L AND RWY 27R. WE SWITCHED TO TWR. TWR CLRED US TO LAND RWY 27R. WE LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. ON OUR NORMAL ROLLOUT AND NEARING HIGH SPD TXWY C; TWR ASKED IF WE WERE GOING TO TURN OFF 'CHARLIE.' FO INCREASED BRAKING WITH THE ATTEMPT TO SLOW THE ACFT ENOUGH TO TURN OFF 'CHARLIE' BUT WAS UNABLE. WE SLOWED TO NEARLY A STOP AT/HEAR THE INTXN OF RWY 22R AND BECAUSE OF OUR LOCATION; TWR CALLED ANOTHER ACFT TO 'GO AROUND.' CONCERNED THAT WE HAD MISSED SOME NEW LAHSO INSTRUCTION OR THAT AN AIRPLANE BEHIND US WAS TRYING TO LAND RWY 27R; WE QUICKLY TURNED OFF RWY 27R AS MORE OF AN ESCAPE MANEUVER; THINKING THAT WE HAD DONE SOMETHING TERRIBLY WRONG. UNFORTUNATELY; WE TURNED L ONTO RWY 22R WHICH WAS ALSO AN ACTIVE RWY. WE WERE IMMEDIATELY ADVISED BY TWR THAT WE HAD TAXIED ONTO AN ACTIVE RWY.
