Narrative:
Performed operations check which involves removal of a fuse. Operations check was good. I was distraction by trying to accelerate curing of sealant and forgot to install fuse. I found the fuse in my pocket after departure. Fuse 8HK pwrs relay 10HK on ground through weight on wheels switch 8GA which de-energizes the outside air temperature probe. Result was that outside air temperature was pwred on ground. I called maintenance control who instructed aircraft to return. The distrs of determining alternative sealants and other means of accelerating cure times may have contributed to loss of focus.
