Narrative:
On aircraft X had log page X with discrepancy. Loud clunk observed in cockpit as gear handle was lowered; sounded like nose gear area. All cockpit indications normal. Found down lock spring tensioner bungee to be broken r-hand side nose gear. Removed and replaced spring tensioner bungee on r-hand side reference maintenance manual. Inspection was present during start of assembly but was called away. I failed to have them return for rii buyoff. I realized this as the plane was departing for ZZZ1 where inspection will be accomplished.
