Narrative:
My first officer and I unknowingly flew an aircraft from lga to chs with the fuel cap missing. Upon arrival into chs; we were notified by the fueler that the cap was missing and we wrote it up and called maintenance control. They MEL'ed the cap and the aircraft continued without incident.

Title: E145 FLT CREW FLIES ACFT WITH MISSING FUEL CAP.
Narrative: MY FO AND I UNKNOWINGLY FLEW AN ACFT FROM LGA TO CHS WITH THE FUEL CAP MISSING. UPON ARR INTO CHS; WE WERE NOTIFIED BY THE FUELER THAT THE CAP WAS MISSING AND WE WROTE IT UP AND CALLED MAINT CTL. THEY MEL'ED THE CAP AND THE ACFT CONTINUED WITHOUT INCIDENT.
