Narrative:
While performing APU change on aircraft X; maintenance operations directed me to lower APU onto an unsuitable ground handling fixture. Against my better judgement; I was intimidated by the maintenance operations into deviating from the job card. This intimidation impaired my judgement to do my job correctly. Management is still insisting this practice continue when suitable ground handling fixture is not available. While changing APU in hangar; manager directed me to drop APU onto unsuitable stand. Correct stand not available. I was directed to drop APU onto cowling cart with wheel chocks for support.
