Narrative:
While on a visual approach at night; after being cleared to land from the tower; the aircraft had a complete electrical failure. After resetting the battery master partial power was restored; but no avionics or navigation system were working. After landing; I exited the runway and tried to get the radios to work. During this process I had flashed the aircraft lights several times to try and alert the tower. After a few mins of no success in restoring the radios; I decided to try and get to the nearest FBO that didn't require crossing any active runway. Both my passenger and myself did not see any light gun signals from the tower while trying to fix our radio problems. Both my passenger and myself were unfamiliar with the airport and adding to it was the fact that it was at night. Not knowing if we were going to get signals from the tower; I made sure the taxiway in front of us was clear and taxied to the closest FBO right off the taxiway in front of us. Upon reaching the FBO; I exited the airplane where I contacted the tower by telephone to explain the situation that just happened. I felt that my decision to get to the nearest FBO was made with safety in mind. I could have waited longer on the taxiway but I didn't know how long I should wait; and block the taxiway; for light signals.

Title: A C206 EXPERIENCED TOTAL ELECTRICAL FAILURE ON SHORT FINAL AFTER RECEIVING LNDG CLRNC BUT COULD NOT GET LIGHT SIGNALS FROM TWR TO TAXI.
Narrative: WHILE ON A VISUAL APCH AT NIGHT; AFTER BEING CLRED TO LAND FROM THE TWR; THE ACFT HAD A COMPLETE ELECTRICAL FAILURE. AFTER RESETTING THE BATTERY MASTER PARTIAL PWR WAS RESTORED; BUT NO AVIONICS OR NAV SYS WERE WORKING. AFTER LNDG; I EXITED THE RWY AND TRIED TO GET THE RADIOS TO WORK. DURING THIS PROCESS I HAD FLASHED THE ACFT LIGHTS SEVERAL TIMES TO TRY AND ALERT THE TWR. AFTER A FEW MINS OF NO SUCCESS IN RESTORING THE RADIOS; I DECIDED TO TRY AND GET TO THE NEAREST FBO THAT DIDN'T REQUIRE XING ANY ACTIVE RWY. BOTH MY PAX AND MYSELF DID NOT SEE ANY LIGHT GUN SIGNALS FROM THE TWR WHILE TRYING TO FIX OUR RADIO PROBS. BOTH MY PAX AND MYSELF WERE UNFAMILIAR WITH THE ARPT AND ADDING TO IT WAS THE FACT THAT IT WAS AT NIGHT. NOT KNOWING IF WE WERE GOING TO GET SIGNALS FROM THE TWR; I MADE SURE THE TXWY IN FRONT OF US WAS CLR AND TAXIED TO THE CLOSEST FBO RIGHT OFF THE TXWY IN FRONT OF US. UPON REACHING THE FBO; I EXITED THE AIRPLANE WHERE I CONTACTED THE TWR BY TELEPHONE TO EXPLAIN THE SITUATION THAT JUST HAPPENED. I FELT THAT MY DECISION TO GET TO THE NEAREST FBO WAS MADE WITH SAFETY IN MIND. I COULD HAVE WAITED LONGER ON THE TXWY BUT I DIDN'T KNOW HOW LONG I SHOULD WAIT; AND BLOCK THE TXWY; FOR LIGHT SIGNALS.
