Narrative:
It was a gusty afternoon with partly scattered clouds at teb airport. We were given the teb 5 departure off runway 24 which entails an initial climb to 1500 ft at runway heading then right turn to 280 degrees; remaining at 1500 ft; till 4.5 DME from teb before climbing to 2000 ft. My sic; who is also an ATP type rated captain; was flying the leg from the left seat. The departure procedure was briefed twice by me in detail during and before taxi. Once cleared for takeoff; sic applied power; rotated; stayed on runway heading thru 1500 ft; continued climb during right turn and leveled off at 2120 ft. After I called her attention to stop; she continued on through the 280 degree heading in excess of 20 degrees; and her acceleration finally stopped at 230 IAS. This all happened in the short time I was being handed off from teb tower to TRACON. She showed no sign of situational awareness. This individual will be going thru additional training.
