Narrative:
Follow job card for aircraft to perform operations check of captain's clock. Used amm as per supervisor request. Found out later by a lead technician to use work card; which is why previous shift (a lead technician) had blown it off because lack of tooling. And job card had no reference to use.

Title: A EMB135 TECHNICIAN RPT ACCOMPLISHING A CAPT'S CLOCK CHK PER THE SUPVR'S REQUEST TO USE THE MAINT MANUAL CHK PROC. THIS PROC WAS NOT PER THE WORK ASSIGNMENT THAT REQUIRED SPECIAL TOOLING THAT WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
Narrative: FOLLOW JOB CARD FOR ACFT TO PERFORM OPS CHK OF CAPT'S CLOCK. USED AMM AS PER SUPVR REQUEST. FOUND OUT LATER BY A LEAD TECHNICIAN TO USE WORK CARD; WHICH IS WHY PREVIOUS SHIFT (A LEAD TECHNICIAN) HAD BLOWN IT OFF BECAUSE LACK OF TOOLING. AND JOB CARD HAD NO REF TO USE.
